I was born in Westport, Connecticut and lived there for my first 18 years. I went to college in Nashville, TN and graduated from Vanderbilt University. I met my wife in college and we have now been married for 25 years. I have a two sons, 20 and 18, and a 16 year old daughter. I worked for Ford Motor Company in the Marketing and Sales Division for 13 years. I started in Detroit for the first 6, then was moved to Charlotte and finally spent my final 6 in Raleigh. I decided that I didn't want to leave the Raleigh area, so I left Ford and went to work as a Vice-President with a Tire and Service Company running their 10 stores in the area. After 3.5 years I decided that I wanted to work for myself and I began my career as a Full Time Realtor. I have been a Realtor for 8 years. I have now lived in the Cary/Apex area for 19 years.
Real Estate Career
I had a Math Major in college and was always interested in Real Estate. I got my license in 2008 and started helping clients sell their homes and helping them to buy their next home. In 2013 I sold 30 homes and helped 21 clients purchase homes. I helped transact over nine million dollars in sales and made the "Top Producers Club". In 2014 I again sold 30 homes and helped 20 more clients purchase homes and did 12 million in sales. I opened RE/MAX Performance on August 1st 2014. We currently have 14 Realtors in the office and 3 administrative staff.
I purchased my first investment property in 2001 which I still own today. It has increased in value by over 35% and I have had excellent tax advantages for the last 12 years. Additionally, the renters help to pay down the mortgage so I will eventually own it free and clear. My goal is to someday have 5 properties "paid off" that can provide a nice portion of retirement income. Additionally, I have purchased 5 Foreclosures and other distressed properties over the years. I have purchased homes "at the courthouse steps", and directly from banks as Foreclosures, so I know the Foreclosure process very well. Let me know if you are interested in purchasing a Foreclosure!
As A Realtor, I sold 10 NC State investment condo's in 2016 for about $130,000 and they generate about $8,000 in profit after paying expenses.
